Every year our girls get to volunteer to be servers at The Hope Kids Ball. This is an event where Children with severe illnesses come to a princess ball. The children arrived to the castle and were sat down to an amazing dinner. Then they could go get their hair and makeup done and head into the ballroom where prince charming would read them fairy tales. Then the princesses arrived and made an entrance down the grand staircase. Then the ball began, they could dance with their favorite princess, they could also take a carriage ride. This is all free to the entire family. They spend so much time in the hospital. It's a special night out. My girls are always touched by these sweet children. They make bonds with them. We look forward to this event all year. If you are interested in donating to hopekids I will be posting a link soon.
This is the makeup station.
This was the dining hall.
A sweet girl getting her hair done. This sweet princess smiled the entire time.
The carriage ride. simply magical!
Then it's time for the princess to enter the ball.
It's a bit of a blur but these amazing girls were playing beautiful music just behind Prince charming.

We go every summer to the Drive in movie in Salt Lake City. We have big plans of staying for the double feature but every year we leave after the first. I always make such a comfy bed, that I'm out in the first 15 min of the movie. We keep the babies in their car seats and then fill the treat buckets up and enjoy the show.
Our bus is so big we keep the last seat our and use it to haul things. We have so much room we brought a bench from the yard and it worked great. Then with everything out of the back, we had enough room for a giant bed.
This bucket had fruit snacks, licorice, cheese crackers and Dads amazing popcorn, and then water.
We watched Brave, not a vampire show. :)
